Redirect UNC bitmap paths to local root directory

Hey Guys

I need a script that changes UNC paths - or the incorrect paths - i.e."\\server\Library\..." to another root directory path i.e. x:\Library..." by default. And preferably would like this as a standard when opening a new scene.

The reason being, we want to maximise our DR workflow. So, we store our image library on a network drive, but that causes issues when it comes to rendering using DR where the texture paths aren't updating and this is due to the fact that the paths are redirecting to a UNC path.

We have a workaround for now using asset tracker, but we would like to eliminate this step as it can be tedious if redirecting 100+ textures at a given time.

Thanks in advance

I don't have much experience

I don't have much experience dealing with rendering using DR and having multiple files redirect to a network drive (which the idea seems to make sense) but I'm willing to give it a shot? hat exactly needs to be changed before the render process begins? Also are we referring to the "Project folder" and things along those line. I kind of want a crack at this but I'm still a little in the dark at what you need to happen.
