fstretch 2 for Max?

Hey guys,

They just released fstretch2 for Maya. Look at the video demo:

It is so awesome it makes me want to give up on Max and just finally learn Maya. I emailed the creator of fstretch and he has no interest in porting this over to Max so obviously I'm bummed out. Is anyone out there interested in making a similar plug-in for Max? Otherwise I think I'm about ready to end my relationship with Max. The character animation/rigging community just isn't there like it is for Maya.

Hey Othoap! I know, amazing huh?!

From what I can tell he must be monitoring how close or far away verts get to each other whenever the mesh is deformed or manipulated. When they're close together the mesh takes on the shape of a "squash" mesh reference that you assign and when they get further away from each other the mesh takes on the shape of the "stretch" mesh reference.

He has tutorials on his vimeo channel that give really good insight as to how the plugin works. I really think this would be possible to do in Max but I think it would require something more powerful that what I'm able to script. It seems like there'd be a pro out there interested in making this work in Max? I know I would happily pay for a plugin like this.

Otherwise I guess the only other option is learning Maya /shudder/

a script allready exsits

there is a script that exsits for max to do something like that it was developed by ubisoft montréal for the first assassin creed

WOW I agree, awesome stuff from Lester. The control he gets is amazing. That part with blobby shape is so cool!!!
