save selected object + copy textures

Does anyone know of a asset collector script that does this?

I want to select objects in my scene and save the selected objects to a max file and also have the textures associated with the selected geometry copied to the location that the selected max file is saved to.

Doing this using Project

Doing this using Project Manager copies the textures but isn't saving the selected objects in the Max file as well. Is this normal?

No - this ability also must be work in demo.
Please generate the bug report (menu "Project manager" ==>> Create support Request)
And attach the file with the object that you test.

Bought a license this

Bought a license this morning. The full version saves the Max files and textures as advertised.

I do wish the textures saved in the same directory as the max file instead of a sub directory. This is likely just my preference on keeping my asset library organized without creating extra directories.

Subdirectories for saved model

The textures for model always saved in subdirectory with max-file.
