copyMapChannel allows to copy the uvw coordinates from a channel to an other. You can select several objets at the same time. The result is stored in an modifier Unwrap and It is easy to edit it.

Get Hue Channel

This utility simply extracts the hue channel of an image. What this means is that it takes the colors of the spectrum in RGB space (red-yellow-green-cyan-blue-magenta-red) and maps them to a grayscale image (black-white (or white-black - if You use 'Negate Result')) Wrapping of 360° Hue takes advantage of the fact that 360° is essentially the same as 0°.

LoadBitmapInPhotoshop

"If you have a bitmap viewed in the ME this will load it into Adobe Photoshop (if you have PS that is). Install by simply running the .mzp (rename if it downloads as .mzp.zip) - but to work you MUST have a shortcut to photoshop in your 3dsmax root directory - and the shortcut must be labelled 'Photoshp.exe' (note no 'o' in shop).

lscm unwrap integrated for max5.1 and up

After seeing the max8 peltmapping vids - and doing a bit research on
the topic - I found that wings3d and blender already have nice
automatic unwrappers - using the same technique called LSCM. This
maxscript/plugin combo implements the technique based on blender3d. It
allows the user to mark edges as uv seams and run the automatic unwrap.
