07/21/2014 This simple script allows you to display the faces of a object EditPoly that have less or more of the 4 sides (quad). It's a updates of tutorial in the Help MaxScript (How To... Select Non-Quad Polygons).
Warning: It only works with objects Poly (not mesh)

ToolsBar > MaxScript > RunScript...
