Hi everyone.
I wrote a composition assistance tool script.
It's a simple script that creates spline grids in front of the camera.
1. Center cross
2. Golden ratio
3. Rule of thirds
4. Simulcast safe
5. Custom
Five kinds of grids are displayed on camera viewport.
Please use it. and hope you like it!

The way I "fix" this to use it with V-Ray Physical Camara
This is the most helpful script ever for me... THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS!!! By the way, the way I "fix" this to use it with V-Ray Physical Camara it very simple, I actually at first use a Standard Max Camara and them I use another script from Leles called Anything to phys Cam Max to convert Standard Camara to V-Ray Physical Camara, so basically you have the Standard Max Camara and the V-Ray Physical Camara perfect aligned with same Lens and in front of them the mCam Grid

Put mCam_grid2.3_ENG.mse in maxroot/scripts folder. Then run the attached macroscript. To assign hotkey(ot place a button to toolbar) go to Customize - Customize User Interface - "mat.uno" category.

Botton customize???
Hi, the script works very good and it is very useful too!!! but every time that I want to use it, I have to run it from the munu bar (Maxscript > run script > mCam_grid2.3_ENG) So I would like to know in wich category or group this script it supouse to be so I can customize it and make a button that I can press everytime I want to use it or if there is another way to do it please tell me... Best regards!!!

My idea is to make custom atrribute(FOV)and which can be connected by parameter wiring.
But as I said before,VRay camera applys distortion...
Please see "sample(ver2009).max"and "mCam_Grid_VRaycam.ms"

Could you provide the source code (.ms) that you wrote and maybe one of us could help you with the issue that your having with VRay Cams?
Id be happy to take a look as having this tool for VRay Cams would be helpful.

Actually,I made a capable version for VRay camera.
But It doesn't effects this script's method,Because VRay camera occurs distortion...
Please advise if there is a good idea.
