02/13/2018 I didn't create this script from scratch, this is an updated version of the script you can find in the maxscript documentation in the section called: How To - Practical Examples.

I added two lines of code to that script to fix the problem of pivot points location
for the objects that going to be dropped. Those two lines will shift the pivot point
to the center of each object's lower part.

In the video, you can see that the objects to be dropped
Should be selected first, then you need to click the script
And choose the surface.
The tool is disabled when no objects are selected.

Edit: I have downloaded and installed it. Place it into the toolbar, but when I click on the button nothing happen. I use 3ds max 2017. What goes wrong with me?
