Givin up the Ghost unfortunately.

Joker,

Not to worry this seems all to be a bit much as far as I can tell.

So it's probably time to give up the ghost, and head to greener pastures, so to speak.

If you didn't get it the first and then second time your unfortunatly not the man I need to talk to regarding developing scripts of use to me.

Apologies if I wasted your time. Ill talk to Pixamoon or Miaauu instead and see if they can help was just trying to help, support and suggest - total fail lol.

Best of luck,Regards

Adam

I like the idea of presets

I like the idea of presets and whatnot, however im not quite sure how that would work. Since the list of ID's displayed are the ones found within the scene. What would you expect to happen when you 'load' a preset? That may help me understand.

I'm not quite sure your i

I'm not quite sure your i understand what you are asking or telling me with your response. My tool does not apply materials or bitmaps to anything, please try to explain a bit more what you are asking.

Additional features that would really help part 2

Meant to add there are loads more features that could also be added.

One would be to work on

Vray Effect ID
A reset all function for the given task
Create multimattes
Save multimates to file like max presets etc..
could work on lights
Populate scene materials to list
scan file in max folder in to a list and edit id's before sending a silent command to a max file etc..
and so on.

the image was just a simple diagram to show you the possibilities of features that can be added etc. to increase its useful ness. rather than it being another simple id changer.

And again how you charge for this is up to you, it would just be nice to have scripts out there that do more useful things or will do in the future.

Last post I promise lol

Additional features that would really help

Hi JokerMartini,

I have attached a Diagrammatic form to this chat of the things I was talking about I hope that is clearer regarding some of the features I was discussing.

The diagram is obviously very simple and crude lol but it hopefully gets most the points across.

I trust this is clearer to understand now regarding what I was thinking regarding some of the mentioned features the script could do to make it really useful..
I am also aware it might be too much that I am asking for and not something you want to or can do.

Please Let me know if these functions are something you are interested in adding to your script, so I can either keep this chat going or go down alternative options out there.

ManyThanks

Regards

There is a problem that it is not loaded in the viewport.

I bought this script.
Use this script to apply a material to an object to which you have assigned a bitmap.
However, the bitmap does not return to its original state.
There is a problem that it is not loaded in the viewport.

The material still has bitmap data, but it is not permanently visible in the viewport.
It cannot be used without duplicating the file.

Is there something wrong with it?

Could you further explain how

Could you further explain how the preset would work and what you expect it to do?
I'm not sure I understand. Thank you

More suggestions

me again would also be good if you could run a selected preset over files - folders and subfolders of your choosing - scanning files to replace id's on mass over a network or folder to re organise object id's would be the cream on top for this kinda script.

Maybe a pro version - for single user or multiple users. Single user would be amazing so I can run object id changes over my files and folders would be a god send... don't know if you up for that but it would be a life saver for me and you could charge more for that too. I would pay for proper automation and I believe others would to.

Otherwise for me as good as it is it's just another object id organiser and there are free one's out there too that do the same.

Still nice script though simple effective and looks easy to use.

Hope this helps..would love to support you but personally I would need more feature like the one i listed above and in my previous posts. Thanks JokerMartin keep em coming.........

Additional features that would really help

Hi love the plugin - script. But it would be even better and useful to me if you could add the feature of loading and saving presets from a network location and setting a master preset to load automatically so it can be shared amongst colleagues. Basically the the ability to set a defult preset that can be shared to organise others etc. That would really make this properly useful and a league above all the other object id scripts out there.
