Unwrap Pro is a 3ds Max plugin which unwraps meshes while producing low distortion, overlap free, weighted density UVs unlike the 3ds Max Peel command which produces overlapping uvs with high area distortion. Get it from https://mariussilaghi.com/products/unwrap-pro

Great unwrap Modifier!

I love this modifier! Simple and good results for organic unwraps, all inside 3dsmax so no need to move to another external unwrap program.

You can use the MacroRecorder

You can use the MacroRecorder to find how to edit all the parameters and to push the Unwrap button you just need to write $.modifiers[#Unwrap_UVW].UnwrapProData.rlt_params.runUnwrap false

>any UI parameters and start the unwrap from MAXscript

Ok, I found .UnwrapProData module and got its properties using getPropNames
But what about the unwrap function itself? How do I run it via MAXscript?
Is there MAXscript manual for this tool anyway?

I love it

Marius has made several awesome tools over the years. This one gets a thumbs up from me. I love it. I hate unwrapping, and this just removes one more whole layer of time wasted on making sure there aren't any overlapping UVs. For a lot of things I fall back on Unwrella, but if it's something that needs to be unwrapped in a specific way, Unwrap Pro offers the next gap. Thanks Marius! I think anyone who has to manually unwrap organic shapes in Max much probably wants this.

Although I think the price is worth it, I think it might get more appeal with a lower price point. Although I think it's worth the cost for me personally, I think it might be more prudent to price it near the other plugins you offer. But that's just my opinion. But that's based off of my own experience with the people who buy my plugins/tools.

Either way, I recommend.

You can use Unwrap UVW's

You can use Unwrap UVW's Flaten Mapping tool which let's you specify an angle and it will segment the mesh for you. After that you can run Unwrap Pro on the islands. At the end you can pack the UVs with 3ds Max's packing tools.

That's great. I wonder if it would be possible for you to expand the feature of unwrap pro to allow users to just pass and angle threshold which would be used to auto generated seems and then unwrap. Similar to zbrush's auto-unwrap. In most cases I don't care about the seems since I'm painting in 3D space anyways.

Yes, it does have maxscript

Yes, it does have maxscript access. You can access any UI parameters and start the unwrap from maxscript.
It is possible to write a batch processor for it. I don't think you need to use any of the unwrap7 methods but you still need to add an Unwrap UVW with Unwrap Pro to the objects.
You will need to have seams on the objects and use other tools to do the packing.
