Mirror tool command

Hi guys,
I was wondering is it possible to run Mirror tool as a command with attributes and avoid using UI.
Something like: "mirror $ xyz instance"
Also, is it somehow possible to check in what coordsys Max is set to?

I am beginner at Maxscript so I apologize if I am not using correct terms.
