Link key frames to excel spread sheet or MS Project

Maybe this already exists but here it goes... (navisworks is crap)

I want to link a key frame in Max to a speadshead cell so that when I change the spreadsheet the keyframe updates.

I animate construction in 3ds max design 2011, lots of bits of walls and roofs etc appearinng simply with a slice modifier usually, but sometimes visibily or a move.

My animations are sequenced with the construction pogram by me allocating a date with a key frame in a excel spead sheet. Usually 15 frames equals 1 day and the day is a date.I will start with 1 jan in one cell and make that frame 0, 2 Jan will be frame 15, 3 jan - 30 etc. I just drag the cells in excel and I make a template for years in seconds.

However, going in and looking up dates, finding each object and chamging the key frame takes ages.

The construction progams change all the time and with so many objects to go in and change the key frames for i go nuts. It is so repeitive.

A link to MS Project or Prima Vera 6 or even an excel spreadsheet cell to a specified key frame would be great.

Even if someone can tell me what program to learn for this I will attempt to learn it and do it myself. Some one said python would be best?

Thanks is advance.

Andy
