Open file with loading bar and cancel button

Hello,

I use to work with big max files and sometime I open wrong file and I have to wait long time before to close it and open the good one.

So I would like to make a script to open my file with a loading bar and a cancel button (like the image in attach).

I don't know if it's possible ?
