This MCG will curl a spline, then you can skin it to a mesh and do a carpet roll effect. Can also do flower petals effect

REQUIREMENTS: Max 2016 + SP3 +EXT1/2, Max 2017 Installation: Scripting, Install Max Creation Graph... This MCG will curl a Spline, multi curve splines. Works with both Max 2016 and 2017, although in 2017 you'll get deprecation messages, it will still compile and run.

Ver 1.10: added Delay option

Ver 1.20: added Curl Axis so you can curl vertically (Y) or flat (Z)

MCG CylXGrid

This MCG creates Spline Grid/XGrid pattern that is a seamless cylinder. You are welcome to use my free XGrid which is much harder to do...it can be found here:

However, this MCG saves you doing manual welding after you've bent it into a cylinder. This is easy to do if you can study my XGrid graph...I encourage you to do it yourself.

Carlos Anguiano is the orig author of this MCG, I simply made a few mods so you don't have to create separate Orig/Relaxed copies of the mesh.

ver 1.01: Orig and Relaxed targets will now save with the file. This is the best I can do for you, did try to save into one mesh's channels but didn't quite work out that way...

Ever wanted a pop-up dialog for your MCG graph? Now you can have it and work with scene objects just by connecting nodes. The sample file randomizes the position of selected objects given custom limits. As this is a MCG utility, you don't get viewport redraw and undo support by default, so bear that in mind.

MCG Display Point Cloud

I doubt if this actually improves anything...but a user on FB asked for it maybe because of some display restriction that caps at some maximum number of faces that it can display...so he wanted point cloud representation instead.

Naturally, you'd probably want to turn this modifier off in Render and do NOT collapse this as you'll lose your geo and retain only the points !!!

Simple DNA structure.

Includes a Max scene file with colour coded nucleotides (pls extract Max file from ver 1.00)

ver 1.01: Fixed lookat. Now if the DNA strand is moved around, the letters will adjust to lookat target.

ver 1.02: the DNA strands are now quads
