168 votes

V-RayMax Converter PRO is the best tool for convert 3d scene (materials, maps, lights, cameras, proxies, modifiers, helpers, render elements, etc.) from various render engines to V-Ray and from V-Ray to Corona Render, and also for converting V-Ray and Corona materials/maps to Standard materials/maps.

V-RayMax Converter PRO converts the source materials with maximum possible preservation of the basic material properties, such as diffuse, specular, opacity, glossiness, roughness, bump, displacement, selfillumination (emission), translucency, reflection, refraction, although it is necessary to understand that certain materials may need adjustments once the conversion process is complete. Also, all the textures that are used for the above parameters were saved. As for the special procedural maps, they are converted only if there is an analogue. Otherwise, procedural maps are baked into textures or removed if the resulting materials can be used without them.

Current version: 4.0033

Supported for conversion:

To V-Ray from:
  • Standard (Default Scanline)
  • Corona Render
  • FStorm Render
  • Octane Render
  • finalRender
  • Arnold
  • Brazil_Advanced (RS v 1.2) material
  • NVIDIA iray (unofficial) material.
From V-Ray to:
  • Standard (Default Scanline) materials/maps
  • Corona Render (v9 or higher)
From Corona (materials/maps) to:
  • Standard (Default Scanline) material/maps

See full list of supported conversions.

Main features:

  • Convert materials, maps, lights, cameras, modifiers, helpers and GI environment from supported renderers to V-Ray and from V-Ray to Corona
  • Convert clouds from CoronaSky to VRaySun and vice versa.

By loading in textures the script can automatically creating a complete material setup for you. You can live edit the material by changing settings, like texture channel inputs, material slot assignments, advanced mapping and material parameters.

Features

  • Texture channel regonition based on industry standard name filters and customizable names.
  • Create all required maps with correct gamma for each corresponding material channel.
  • Live texture loading and map editing, like Composite maps for AO and Bump maps, Color Correction map for diffuse, Triplanar, Real-world and random rotation mapping, Blur filtering, IOR and Material ID and more.
  • UDIM texture set support (Arnold and Fstrom not yet supported)
  • Link Mapping and Coordinates for all bitmap and triplanar maps of the same material.
  • Easily apply materials to Selected object, Material editor or Drag and Drop functionality.
  • Add displacement and UVW Map modifiers and control the displacement height and offset.

Load any folder accessible on your machine and the Content Browser will find any materials, hdri’s, models, and max files. It will group, organize and display these files as assets, recognizing previews, LODs, mapping channels, resolutions and other important information automatically.

It simplifies the importing and merging process for 3d models, max files, material creation and hdri environment maps by allowing you to directly browse, filter and drag all of your 3D assets from sources like MegaScans, PolyHaven, gameTextures, Poliigon, Arroway into 3ds max viewport or material editor.

Main Features

  • Load any folder and find 3D models, max files, materials and hdri’s.
  • Show grouped files as assets, group matching assets and find preview images.
  • Drag and Drop asset into the 3ds max viewport or the Slate Material Editor
  • Import assets to Slate and Compact Material Editors
  • Default Merge and Import 3d files and max scenes, with automatic relinking filepaths
  • Choose LODs/resolution/variations and Import multiple assets at once
  • Folder hierarchy, File list and Preview Gallery

Corona Copy Material Slot

0 votes

This is only for Corona Physical Materials, i might do a legacy version later..

This script is intended to batch copy from slot to slot within the same material,

For example, you can copy a bump map to a displacement map or the diffuse map to selfillumination on multiple material at once.

you can use my other script to add some color correction with a saturation set to -1, to create bump or roughness maps from your diffuse map.

IMPORTANT NOTE

One Click Albedo for Corona render and V-ray

6 votes

Script Description:

This script is made to automatically adjust the albedo of materials in the scene. Too high albedo may slow rendering process down and make the materials look unrealistic. Especially when an object with a high albedo occupies the most part of frame area. Corona Render developers recommend to keep albedo of your materials under RGB 180 (For diffuse color or texture).
