Best script for me

aj2jjworld · 2015-07-27

this is what i exactly want. i am kind of spline modeler and i really need this script and it is very easy and simple to use. neat and clean. cheers up

miauu · 2013-05-09

Unpack the mzp file(7zip,WinRAR, etc.) and paste all folders in maxRoor folder. Restart 3dsMax and you will find the script in the Cuztomize-Customize User Interface...

dont have maxRoor folder

Remyd · 2016-11-07

Hello,

I didn't find the folder you said.
Can you help me please ?

airbrush · 2013-05-09

Vertical Projection in Perspective

kewlmack · 2012-11-14

hi can i request for a vertical line creation enabled in the perspective view?just like in rhino.as for instance, holding 'Alt' would create a vertical line in the perspective?

obaida · 2012-08-10

Thank you so much , its very usefull script .
but I think there is on thing to add , its the free line drawing by pressing a keybord button maybe "ALT Key" so you can switch to freeline mode .

Max 2013 compatibility ?

Tommy_LedZep · 2012-05-31

Thank you for this usefull script, I use it very often !

Well I used to because I recently switched to Max 2013 and "OYH_script" doesn't show up in the "Category" list of the "Customize Menu" tabs.
So I can't make any keyboard shortcut for it and I have to run it manually with the "Run script" command, which is quite annoying.

Do you have an idea for making a menu button or a keyboard shortcut ?

Thank you,

My humble requests:1. Some

1rv · 2011-04-03

My humble requests:
1. Some shortcut to toggle ortho mode on\off
2. numeric input for segment length in hoovered direction (sketchup-like)
3. numeric input for rotated segments (i.e. 90@37 - would
draw rotated line (@37 degr.) 90 cm length.
Thank you.

airbrush · 2011-04-01

the angle snap feature is nice, thanks

"freeze" bug is fixed

harumscarum · 2011-03-29

here i attach fixed script

and one more request - please add angle snap mode (Ctrl key) as in standart line

While creating a spline with the mouse, press and hold Ctrl to constrain new points to angle increments determined by the current Angle Snap setting. To set this angle, go to Customize menu > Grid and Snap Settings, click the Options tab in the Grid and Snap Settings dialog, and change the value in the Angle (deg) field.

toriacht · 2010-12-02

postite · 2010-08-03

Hi,
Thanx for this script, very usefull!

But, it doesn't work with 3ds Max 2011 x64... I'm able to start the scipt, draw a line but after impossible to re-select it. Even with "Select from scene".
But if I use a radius for the spline, it renders correctly.

Any chance you fix that ?

Thx!

harumscarum · 2010-07-19

thank You! very much
i run it from quadmenu and it works great now!

fajar · 2010-07-19

must be great OYH if this is translate to scripted primitive shape, I use it very often...... too bad I must load it over if I want to use it.

Thanks, nice job!! Just one tip, put the undo whith Ctrl key. I did and works nice. Thanks again!!

SalahaDin · 2010-01-01

Easy....To install just drag and drop to your viewport. Restart Max and got to >>> Customize/customize user interface. Then go to the keyboard tab and under category/ OYH_script, you will see Cline2 and Cline2 undo>>> map it to a shortcut and u done.
Thanks a lot for the script. And yes it does work with Max2009/64Bit..

Makhota · 2009-12-25

How can use it?

fajar · 2009-12-08

can sombody convert it to spline in control panel! to shape category!!

capcaverna · 2009-11-27

work in max 2009 x64????

somax1023 · 2009-11-19

so cool~

fajar · 2009-11-08

Work in Max 9 -32 bit for me........

jrulier · 2009-11-08

The script doesn't seem to work with Max 9, does it?

fajar · 2009-11-07

must be sweet if this go into shape category instead of independence..... So I can create shape like line using this tool.

juanon · 2009-11-06

OYH, Another Tip:

- The max line has an LINE UNDO (Backspace), this one is missing too.

If I find another one Ill tell to you as soon as posible again.

Perhaps with this correction this script starts to work perfect!

Great Script Althought!

j.a.m · 2009-11-04

This option is really wanted! Thank you!
However, to the abovementioned I woyuld like to add that there are frequent cases when zooming around mouse point (like in AutoCAD) is more useful then simple pan. e.g. when panning for far distance is needed.
This could be another useful feature for the next update :)

batu · 2009-11-04

Awesome I wasn't even sure this was possible.
I thought if it was Autodesk would have done this a while ago.

I agree.
The only thing that it is missing is the orthogonal snap feature.
If you get this in there I will drool over this script.

juanon · 2009-11-04

I might say that I doesn´t use the orthogonal mode (Shift Button).
I hope that you can make the correction soon!
Otherwise I prefer the older one... :(

OYH · 2009-11-05

updated script ...thanks you

krillmcrawl · 2009-11-03

Very nice, works like a charm. Thanks for sharing!

carlos · 2009-11-03

Thank,
I always ask why splines not work like this.

MLB · 2009-11-02

Thank you!

You accomplished what Autodesk failed to do since 1996!

Cline2 is what Line should be....
