Attach selected is a better name
Hi Walid
I suggest to rename this to Attach selected mesh , cause merge is confusing for alot of users .
This is only a suggestion :)
Thanks

BUT
Yes this script does exactly what it says on the tin, but after importing 50 layers and each layer has 10000 objects (I work for an architectural practice) then a level of automation is required. So the script need to start from layer 1 (default) select all objects in this layer then run this script, http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/attachselectedobjects
then select all the next layer down and so on.
Ill keep trying to script it and post once done.
yes it does but
How can you merge all objects by layers?
The script as long as the first layer is called 0 (default) should start with this layer, select all objects in this layer and merge. Then move onto the next layer and so on.
Cheers
would it be possible to merge
would it be possible to merge or attach all objects that are selected with a group?
right now it doesnt work. you have to select all objects inside the group.
thanks
.
I think that you ahve to change the name of the script to "Attach All", because when I read Merge i think of merging files.
But this is only a suggestion. :)
