Multi Distance Meter

I would like to have an option to calculate distance between pivots or center of objects.

This looks great.
I would like to request two feature if I may:

1) Be able to link the distance readout to a text object so one can render it.
2) Be able to pick a group(with several objects/nodes in it) and then a target(say a camera) so that one can fly towards the group and have the distance always meassure to the nearest object in that group.

Ohhhh yes!!! I would really need a render function that also shows the line. This would be very helpful for blueprints/building plans! =)

It would be great to make it display the minimal distance between objects/group according to bbox, and also to have the possibility to select an object/group, then move it at a certain distance from another object.

For spacing objects can use this script:

But does not work for groups. I use the button in the bottom of the screen Offset Mode Transform and enter the desired distances.
