This script renders an ambient occlusion pass with VRay from any scene - without changing anything. There is no need to prepare the scene in any way either.

VRay 1.5 or higher is required for the script to run!
If you are using VRay 1.46, there is an older version available, without dirtmap features.

I like your Script very much

I like your Script very much Marc, so good job :)

Before I really can get some good use out of it, I would love to see some features added, like:

1. Falloff setting for the Dirtmap.
2. Exposure for the camera is disabled and V-Ray Color mapping is set to Linear multiply.
3. Last but not least. It seems that crop rendering doesn’t work probably, could be super if it did.

Besides that keep up the great work, hope my feedback helps you to improve your great script.

Attaching a small example on the Falloff issue so you see what exactly I mean.

Regards

Love the script Marc. Have you considered putting an override in there for exposure control (disabling exposure contol) on the Vray camera. This could make it even more handy.
