Align vertex to plane

Hello

I'm looking for a tool to align a vertex to a plane defined by 3 vertexes.
The workflow would be :
- run script
- clic 3 vertexes
- clic 1 vertex to be aligned
- done
The alignement is done perpendiculary to the defined plane.

Hope somebody could do it.

Align Verts - With Constraints

Does anyone know of any script that aligns verts but constrains the 2 end verts of the selection. See image for better explanation.

Select a column of verts and have the first and last verts in the selection remain unmoved,(highlighted green in the image) but have the other verts (highlighted yellow in the image) align on the x,y or z, axis.

Align-move with precision

Hi
pleas would be possible to write some kind of script that would align selected objects in 3D space grid with custom precision?

For example, I have a brick wall created by 50 bricks. All of them are in raster over 250 mm. The important is, that the space transform id in precision xxx.00 But few bricks have fault position and are in space raster like xxx.029 or xxx.137 etc. So would be possible to move all of fault bricks in correct raster xxx.00 and select all of fault bricks at the end?

aling biped footsteps to uneven terrain

dont know have been loking hard for it. be it script or plugin. i also tried with the aling tool in 3ds max. but it seems tha biped footsteps are some kind of VIP objects. i mean. u cant do nothing with them .( almost)

and scripters shuld know. what kind of object is a biped footstep?
i mean is it a spline? ,mesh? proxy? of what?

Hello there,

 

Alpha channel for selected objects in reflection.

The task is to render only defined objects in reflection with alpha channel which will separate that objects from other objects in the same reflection (unselected or udefined).Undefined objects of the reflection should behave as matted ones relating to defined. All means I know will not acomplish such a task.
I know how to render alpha for all as one reflected objects to separate them from reflected background but the task is more complex. So, possibly it is about a script.

Alternative to detach by MatID

I'm looking for a script that will detach an object into separate objects based on material ID. However I usually work with weighted normals and a standard select and detach will break them. So it would be useful to have a script that first duplicates the object then selects the faces of the material ID, inverts the selection and then deletes. After that it repeats itself for each remaining material ID of the object. Any help would be much appreciated.

always open layer and material windows on max start

Is there a way to always open the layers and materials windows on 3dmax start. None of the UI preferences seems to save this.

An animation with a moving camera but with moving objects seen as static and with a motion blur applied...

Hi, everyone!

I am looking for a specific script/tool, that probably do not exist, unless released for the "public"...

I would like to make a flythrough animation with "moving" objects but seen with a motion blur applied...

The only idea I had till now is to write a script:

- I animate my moving objects for ~10 frames
- I start my animation at frame "n"
- When my camera goes to the frame "n+1" the whole animation of my moving objects remains the same as on the first, "n" frame, (with the same animation of the 10 frames made before...)

Angle realtime in MaxText

Hey chaps,

I was looking for a way to output the rotation angle of any object realtime
to show in a simple max text object in 3dsmax 8. First I was hoping this could be
done by using the wire parameters but it seems I cannot acces the text.

Im really desperate for a solution to my problem, I hope you guys can help me out.
