Thanks for a great script,
I have purchased this script before but unfortunately it's not working for Max 2022.3.

After running the FloorGen 1.5.2.MZP I'm launching it with a button and it pops up a message saying "FloorGenerator Plugin is not installed".

Fix. 3ds Max 2022 black faces bug.

New. Create Floorgens in world coords. Ctrl+Click on Create.
New. Auto UV correction for square bitmaps.

Fix. Undeclared variable error if FloorGenerator plugin is not installed.

New. Random Local Offset X/Y. Ctrl+Click on Offset buttons.

New. Pick Local Offset X/Y points.
New. Rotate +90 -90.
New. Align in orthogonal views now uses vector projection method.
Fix. GetPropNames error if floorgenerator is not installed.

Any idea how I can have better control on moving on X and Y?

This is because of how Local Rotate implemented right now. Maybe it will be changed in future, but this method is the most reliable in terms of undo rotation.
In 1.4 Align was improved and should replace Rotate for such cases.

Do you plan on making different floor patterns like herringbone?

I didn't test 2020 floorgenerator but it should work.
You need floorgenerator plugin for 2020 of course. They released it.

We did some tests of DropToSlate in 2020, it was good.

Actually all scripts should work fine in 2020 and if you'll have some problems I will try to solve them, and refund if I fail :)

No I haven't tried the script. I looked at the video and saw there weren't many patterns.
So without having to buy it to see what it has, I would like to know up front.
Since I'm trying to decide between this and cgsource floor generator.

This script requires installed floorgenerator plugin actually. Floorgenerator cant create tiles on multiple surfaces in one click. So download free floorgenerator version and try it.
Paid version is just more patterns.

It's not about Floorgenerator vs this script

Floorgenerator is a cool plugin and this script is a helper for it, a booster, with additional features that Floorgenerator doesn't have because of its modifier nature.

Try to create tiles on things like stairs or walls with free Floorgenerator version and you'll understand the reason I developed this script.

Free version is absolutely the same as paid, except of more patterns. So you can test how this modifier behaves on walls. And it's not a fault because it's a... floor generator, not walls or tiles generator :)

How can i overlap corners? imagine a box with no space between the surfaces of the box, like an entire row hugs every surface around the box without gaps?

Main problem with this task is to find these "problem" corners.
It's not diffucult in this particular situation, but there could be many different cases when finding corners is much more harder. I mean that it's hard to write reliable algorythm for this.
I can't promise that I will implement such feature, but I promise that I'll think about it.

Right now you can easily move this edges in base object by hands.

New. Select parents (rightclick on Select)
New. Flip base object normals

Supported Max versions and Floor Generator version? Does it work with Max 2012 and older Floor Generator version?

Older floorgenerator that was a script but not plugin?
It makes no sence because FG Tools creates floorgen instance modifiers and old floorgen is not modifier.

Yes, i thought so. Since i use Max 2012, and there is no new, modifier based Floor Generator for that version (it's 2013-2019), i guess it wouldn't be possible to use this. Thank you.

Can you add 'ignore hard edges' option (so it won't create grouts in corners)?

This script doesn't change FloorGenerator plugin in any way.
Purpose of script is to break selection to proper flat surfaces and then add FloorGen modifier instance. And local transformations per object of course.
