box animation

Hi, I'm currently studying 3dsmax. Im wanting to do an animation of a cube running along a plane, and have multiple cubes of the same size etc, build up to form a BIG version of the same cube, much like that dice animation (??) i forget who made it. I basically want the cube to rotate from the edge of the face that it currently sits on. I've managed to get this right but for only one rotation on the X axis for example. How do I get the box to continue to rotate from the next edge on the new face that the box lands on, along the same axis?

I hope this makes sense.

What is your ultimate goal,

What is your ultimate goal, you want to learn how to do this by scripting or just search for quick fix? You can do it by Link Constraint and animated helpers as targets.
