Hi All,
i need some help. I need to scatter evenly an object on a poly surface. So the object instaces need to keep same distance between each other and a strict lines and columns but on the way if it would be turned 45 degree, similar as can see on the a attached picture. The surface is curved in many ways so I cant take its edges or faces the base of the scatter. And also not possible to redo it as nurbs.
I need to put thousands of instances to the surface.
Maybe I just dont find the right tool, maybe sombody just could tell me how to do that?
Thank you for the help in advance.
(I use max 2012,64bit)

What about using multiscatter for that? See Multiscatter :: Pattern
