transfer scripts from one 3ds max installation to another

Hi, new to the forum, but have been a big fan of the site for some time. I have got to the stage now where I am using enough scripts with 3ds max to make it a pain to have to reinstall them all when working on a different installation, for example at a different company or when upgrading. Is there a simple way to copy all of the installed scripts from one installation to another? Actually, as far as upgrades go, this goes for the custom UI as well, which can be transferred simply enough from one installation to another as the UI files can be completely overwritten, but this doesnt work when upgrading.

Thanks

I dont think there is a one-click solution. Key bindings, toolbar layout, menus and quad-menus can be saved to a file, and those you can transfer to your new max installation. You will also have to copy any user- and macroscripts. I think you can shorten this by saving out a user profile, which basically will save out each file mentioned before for you.
The problem is that the whole thing is kind of confusing. Some files are stored inside your max root folder, others in your my documents/3ds max/..., some stuff is referenced to in .ini-files, some not.
I tried automating this thing in a script once, so I could have a MAXscript with buttons like "copy UI from max 2011 to max 2012" but it did not work as expected and I didnt put more time into it. Say out loud when you find a quick way for this, its really annoying to customize each 3ds max installation anew ;)

Never get low & slow & out of ideas
