Convex Uniform Honeycomb Polyhedra Tessellations
I am a Research Assistant at University College Falmouth, I need some help, either tips to help me write a maxscript or collaboration to develop one.
I would like help in developing a script that allows users to generate infinite tessellations of 3D space with no gaps by coding a Honeycomb style Polyhedra generator. See this wikipedia article to see what I am talking about
3D max already has the Hedra category under extended primitives, however I would like a tool that builds, scales and aligns these polyhedra to create 3D structures that
a: fills any given imaginary box X and Y dimensions variable
b: fills any selected mesh object
c: can be painted in 3d space using tracking tools such as some of the paintbrush scripts.
My main use of the script will be for making physical objects using Rapid Prototyping technologies or CNC milling.
