I know theres already something that does just this, but I want something quicker for my workflow. I'd like a script that does this:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Scans the scene for standard materials, and replaces/re-assigns them with existing materials with the "vray " prefix. For example:
wood
is replaced with
vray wood
-If any materials don't have a "vray " version to replace it with aren't replaced with anything!
-Tells me at the end how many materials were replaced, and how many weren't (that didn't have a "vray " version).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd like this because I model in Lightwave (I modelled in Max for a while but the speed in LW is unrivalled), so every time I bring my Lightwave model in, via the obj format, I need to re-assign materials.
