please modify this script to be used on a spherical object on the basis of its normals . right now the nails are forming in a single direction. i have attached the JPEG of the desired output.
need it urgently!!!
thanks
This sets the direction of the nails so it follows the vertex normals. But i does this only once while creating the nails. It does not apply the rotation as a scripted controller... if you want that, then it works a bit different.
by the way is it a special need that makes you use the scripted controller? is the surface animated... else it would probably be easier (for 3dsmax to calculate) to just link/parent the nails to the surface. But it is cool and very useful with position controllers when animating the surface ;-)
I have attached a script that just links the nails... also.
