3DS Max - Attribute Holder modifier

0 votes

In this tutorial, we will learn about using the Attribute Holder modifier. This modifier serves as a container, and we will use it to instance some of the parameters that belong to some of the modifiers in the stack so that we can change them in one place. This is useful because it can save us a lot of time. With many modifiers in the stack, it's time-consuming to go down and enter the modifier to change the values. Sometimes we might even forget in which modifier the parameter that we are looking for.
In addition, we will learn about the Animate option in the Edit Poly modifier.

3DS Max - Compound Objects - ShapeMerge

0 votes

In this tutorial, we will learn about a new Compound Object called ShapeMerge. This object will help you to imprint/Stamp a 2D shape onto a surface, also to cut out the 2D shape from that surface, also, you can invert the cutout operation. This is a useful tool if you like to create a road on a land/landscape or cut out a text, or any other closed shape pattern from a surface.

3DS Max - CreaseSet modifier

In this tutorial, we will learn about the CreaseSet modifier. This modifier will allow you when using the OpenSubdiv modifier, to create sets from edges or vertices, and for each set, you can customize the level of smoothness/sharpness. We will also learn about the other parameters that can help us to work more efficiently with this modifier.

3DS Max - Easy Modeling - Carved Sphere

In this tutorial, we will learn how to create this carved sphere, and learn about some spline operations, like attaching, trimming, welding, etc,... We will also learn about the Lathe modifier, and Chamfer modifier, where will see how to fix some issues when using those modifiers by modifying some of their parameters. Plus some other stuff, so keep watching it until the end.

3DS Max - Easy Modeling - FreeForm Geometry

0 votes

In this video, we will learn a quick and flexible technique for modeling freeform shapes. We will use a Surface modifier, Shell modifier, and Turbosmooth for that purpose. You can use this approach to model a wide range of geometries like roads going up and down, ribbons, etc,...

3DS Max - Easy Modeling - Parametric Infinity Cube Table

0 votes

In this tutorial, we will create a parametric infinite cube table and we will see how to keep some of its parameters parametric, meaning that, after making the main geometry, we can go back and change things in it. After extracting the necessary segments from a base chamfered box(used as a path), we will use Loft to make the main shape using a custom rectangle as a profile.
