Work has been a bit slow on the site lately...

I'm sure many of you have noticed a bit of a slowdown in site dev lately. Sorry about that. In the mean time I've been working on resolving many of the big issues I've been hearing in the forums / emails.

  • I'm looking at different hosting options available in an effort to speed up the site.
  • I'm also looking at getting sorting options again (like the old site) as I find it difficult to navigate when I can't change the sort order. This has been a much more difficult solution to implement than I had imagined it would be, so it will be appearing bit by bit across the site, not so much all at once...
  • More raffle contests. There are three left, so I'll try to get those out and back on the once a week schedule.
  • A friend of mine is currently working on a new dark theme and I'd love to work with someone to make a light colored theme available. If you have CSS experience, talk to me so we can make this happen! :-)
  • Forum reorganization. Unfortunately, when the forum was created the organization structure wasn't thought out properly. Instead of organizing by topic then software, it should be software then topic. This will allow for additional topic area like freelance scripters for hire, a scripts wanted area all under the 3ds max heading, sketchup heading and in the future maya / xsi...
  • Did I mention yet that ScriptSpot will be opening up to Maya / XSI users as well? Once the initial development pain is over with and the site is purring along nicely, it'll be time to welcome some new XSI / Maya users! If I was to just throw a date out, I'm thinking sometime this summer. There is obviously a lot of work to be done beforehand and once again, if you know web stuff, I'd really like for you to join the team, just use the contact form below, or even respond to this post, I could use your help!
