Community Users
I figured it's time to bring this up. There are a handful of Scriptspot community members who are ruining it for everyone. The members in question are bumping their tools to the front page of scriptspot every week by going into their tool posts and 'editing' their tool, however they do not actually update anything. They just click edit, add/delete a letter and make a minimal change. This change flags the database as being a new tool and bumps it the front page of scriptspot. What downside is this tool hasn't actually been updated, nor has anything new changed on it.
Don't be mad at me for bringing this up, be mad at the people doing it. Because the biggest downside is that people who are actually releasing new tools are getting bumped to the 2 or 3 page and are never seen.
Here are the biggest offenders. If you are a frequent user of ScriptSpot you'll notice these tools are always on the first or second page and its because these guys do what I described above. They are poor users of script spot.

Yeah I'm hoping we can get
Yeah I'm hoping we can get Christopher Grant to possibly do something about it. It's definitely not cool to do. If everyone did that this site would be a disaster to use.

Totally agree. Nothing against 3D_Animator and Christoph, but this is a bad practice.
Tools and Scripts for Autodesk 3dsMax
agree
I agree too. How about vote -1 for this kind of practice ?
...
That's not solution. They are good scripters and their tools contributing to the community but as John mentioned their not-updateted tools are always on the first page which is a bad practice. Most of users now want to go to the next page to see new tools and they are bored to watch same tools every days.
Anyway ... it's not fair for new tools.
Also adding big images (ei. "how to use tool" or "tutorial" gif's) on front page is
unnecessarily. This makes it difficult to load pages and there is no room for other scripts.
It's necessary to set new rules and guidelines for posting new contents
or forum snippets on scriptspot.
