Procedural maps

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to scripting but I am curious to learn more and got an urge to try and create some simple procedural maps. I have no idea how hard it is to do so.

Do any of you know of any tutorials or other material, that can help me get introduced to this particular topic?

Read maxscript help and you can find how you can create any material or map
And if you have some question post your code here and we can talk about any problem
