Rendering naming template - filename by object

Hey,

I've already posted this over at the cgarchitect forums http://forums.cgarchitect.com/83643-rendering-create-naming-template-fil... but it seems like there is no native solution for this task.

Background of this approach is a scene with a whole lot of objects which all need to be processed the same way with automatic unwrapping, baking AO and saving out a certain file format - all saved in a baking setup preset.

I guess this is a pretty standard need in various fields, eg. gaming, so I GUESS there is something doing that task, as native 3DS or as a script / plugin.

I can set up many standard tasks in the baking preset and use a rendering preset too.
Within the rendering options of 3DS I can set an automatic filenaming template - but this is very limited, only:

scene: The root name of the MAX scene file
camera/view: The name of the active camera or viewport
mm: The month
dd: The day
yyyy: The year

(all prefix templates in <>)

What I would need is the option to auto-name the file based on the objects name within the scene.. ^^

Any idea how to solve this?

Thanks and best,
Niko

Actually solved with a little

Actually solved with a little DOH..

Naming will be automatically set by object's name and extension in elements name field. Eg. ObjectXY_AO.png.

Done.

Asa sidenote, macroscript macro_bake.mcr (or similiar, in Max' macroscripts folder) needs to be changed from .tga to .png in this case.

Thread still not approved but solved :)

Thanks anyways guys! :D
