Isolate selection with "layers"

I think a pretty sweet script would be multiple levels of isolation soo u isolate a group of objects work these objects the Isolate another object again... if u click on the exit isolation it goes to the previously isolated objects I hope I explained this somewhat ok. This would be ideal for a scene with lots of objects to work with.
