If somebody could make morphing in Max as easy and straightforward as in LW....

What is not easy and

What is not easy and straightforward in morphing in Max?
Or can you explain where the difference to LW is?

hi brOt ! In fact what I

hi brOt !

In fact what I really like in LW is that you have ONE mesh.
To create a morph target :
- click on "create new morph target and give a name
- move all vertexes you want to create your morph target
done
you want to mofify your target :
- select in the morph menu morph target you want to modify
- move vertexes you want
done
you want to add details :
- add details (new poly, smooth,...)
done (morph is interpolated)

What I like is that each vertex in LW can store infos : morph, selection, texture UV, weight,...
You don't need to have head separated of body, have a totally finished mesh before morphing.

So after all movie is ready to render, you can decide that morphing of the left eye move the skin of the right foot (???crasy???) move vertexes and render....
In Max if you waant to make this and made a head morph you must think without morph...

I don't say LW is better than MAx (I work now with Max) but it is something I like sooo much in LW, so easy and so versatile....

I see your point. I think

I see your point. I think the Skin Morph Modifier in Max works similar, letting you set up Morphs on the Mesh without having to manually copy it. But this only works with bone-driven Morphs. The LW-method indeed sounds a little more convincing, although i personally like to have my morphs as separate mesh copies. Thanks for the info :)
