Game modelformat to Max - Script wanted.

Hello,

just want to ask if some helpful person could write a script which imports the model format "Variant_part_mesh" from the Game Napoleon: Total War by Creative Assembly, into 3ds Max (preferable Max 9) and back again.
In fact an exporter for this format (from max to variant) would be more needed.

thats where the SDK packs

thats where the SDK packs provided by developers come in.. wich contain a disclaimer that the developer can not be held accountable for any modification made (in case it offends someOne or worse).. also the scope of moddability is set by the developers and therefore varies from game to game.

If you mod a game and upload the assets without an SDK in some cases publishers and Devs tolerate it IF it promotes the game in a good way and you dont publish the tools developed or methods used for reverse engineering

Did you read the EULA?
Reverse engineering of any game assets or binaries is prohibited.

Now of course noOne wants to get into trouble for helping somebody, therefore i'd suggest you contact the Publisher and Developer and ask for written permission.

I've read the eula and I always thought this sentence applies only for the Exe and dll's?
Woudn't this mean that 99% of modifications are against copy rights?
