UV Tools - 'Automatic' Edge Align? - Max 2010-2011
Hey to all,
I was wondering if it would be possible to create in a Max script that could almost automatically align the edges of a UV, so that they're straight.
In Max 2012, its called "Straighten Selection", under "reshape elements". Max 2011 and lower don't have this tool.
Basically, all I want to do is halfway down the page:

Thanks, will do.

There's a very good chance that I experienced MORE problems, then all the internet put together in the area of 3D and Design, and I'm inventing more of them as time passes; also good chance no one is able to solve them. Talk about being ori
you could try and shoot Garp
you could try and shoot Garp an email, maybe its easy to adapt the script for him

Hey Brot, I'm not sure, I use
Hey Brot,
I'm not sure, I use TexTools extensively, and the only thing which it has which comes close to Straighten Selection is Rectify, but that only works per face basis (EI: I cannot select more then one face, or else it deforms my mesh instead of straightening it).
UV Strip Straighter is exactly what I am looking for, thanks, but unfortunately, it only works on one strip of looped faces. If I select more then one loop of faces, it returns:
"Invalid Strip (3)"
So yeah, I was wondering if there was something like UV Strip Straightener, but not as limited.
