Copy 2 Vert

37 votes

While i was modeling a cinema i needed a quick way to place instances of a seat all over the place so i wrote this little script.
It aligns Copys/Instances of an object to another objects vertexes, that way i only had to pull a few splines and was done with the seats.

As its only a small tool i dont plan to include it into my ToolSet but for its usefulness i thought others could use it too to save some time so i upload it here.

After Effects animated position exporter

This script allows the user to bring 3D positions from 3DS Max to After effects, both static and animated. This is intended to be used for compositing footage or other 2d elements into your 3D scene in After Effects.

A simple script I wrote for my daily work. Maybe it will be useful for someone.
Rotation and Scale transormations are restricted to "geometry" and "helper" objects to avoid any errors.

- ROTATE selected objects by selected angle in specified axis
- RESET position / rotation / scale of selected objects in selected or all axes
- ALIGN position / rotation / scale of selected objects to min / average / max in specified axes
- apply a RANDOM (with given min and max values) position / rotation / scale in specified axes to selected objects.

Set individual transform keys

Need to key only the X position, or the Z rotation? This is a very basic script that pops up a little window having position X, Y and Z buttons individually, and the same for rotation. I left scale out of this since you'd have to assign a new controller for that to happen individually.

This script is for making things random....like you have a 100 of same boxes and you dont want them to be the same :D.
You select all of them and enter your values hit Randomize! and that is it.
You can also add random noise animations!
