Mesh Project

Projects the verts of one mesh onto the surface of another. Projects along the vertex normals of the first object. USAGE:select one object to project - press the button. Click another object to project onto.

FreeSceneBitmaps

A Macroscript that just executes the FreeSceneBitmaps() function in MAXScript. Very useful for freeing up memory after a render.

CycleRefCoordsys

Two simple scripts (in a zip) to facilitate cycling through the reference coordsys using hotkeys (the View - Screen - Local etc. dropdown). One script does the cycling - the other allows you to set up what it cycles through - so if you only want local and screen for a while - you can have just that. Evaluate them - and the hotkey them. It's almost surprising how much better the workflow feels.

Search the scene for items (objects - modifiers - etc] with specified properties (instance of - same type as - etc.) - and do something to them (select - delete - disable - etc.)

Rename objects with options to renumber sequences - pre/post-fix - and search and replace.

Unofficial solution to 3ds max Processor Affinity issue

As you may or may not be aware - there appears to be an issue in 3ds max r7 and r8 where certain components leave the 3ds max state set incorrectly - causing one or more of the CPUs in a machine to fluctuate in performance.
