setPosKey & setRotKey

works just like the create key dialog - just on position or rotation. i wrote these scripts to add to the quad menu - so i don't have to right-click the timeslider and uncheck things in the create key dialog. cuts down on mouse travel - yay wrists!

SetKeyTypes (aka CopySelectedKeyTypes)

7 votes

Select a key in Track View - press a button to copy its Tangent Types.
Or Set your own Tangent Types. Select ANY number of keys in ANY number of object tracks and apply the Tangent Types. Works with Bezier controllers only - others skipped automatically.
Special thanks to Neil Blevins / Blur Studio Inc.

Record all keyData in an external file for all selected objects in a scene and then load the keyData whenever necessary. Specify the frame range in which to record key data and also specify the frame in which to begin loading the key data.

CopyKeyTypes

Define your Tangent Types or select a single track with Bezier controller and pick a key to get Tangent Types. Then select another single track and apply the Tangent types to all or some of its keys.

WarpToggle

11 votes

WarpToggle creates a small floater with 2 buttons to either turn on - or turn off all space warp bindings. You have a choice of operating on either all objects - or only on selected objects. Very handy for speeding up viewport interaction if you are warping many or complex objects. Turn off the warps 'till you need em! Seems to work fine in Max v.7 - 2008, have not yet tested with Max2009, though it is a simple script, and should be OK.

Billboard-O-Matic!

Creates a 'billboard' effect for selected objects...applies a scripted controller to the rotation track of an object that emulates a LookAt controller.

Add_LookAt_Controller.ms

This script allows you to take a selected object and add a lootat controller by dragging to the object you want to attach to

Key Manager

This is a version of the Key Manager script by Randy Kreitzman that I modified to work with TCB controllers instead of just Beziers. It allows you to change the tangent type - ease in/out and continuity for a bunch of selected Track View keys all at once. You can also shift the selection now - and affect prev/next keys as well. Works in MAX r2.5 - r3 and r4.
