Unwraps all objects in a selection using Max's built-in flatten function based on the specified parameters. Intended mainly for texture baking.

Rollout Screenshot

Some minor additional functionality is planned for later releases. I'd like to keep this very simple and straightforward, but I'm open to feature requests.

- Run the script using MaxScript -> Run Script
- Go to Customize -> Custom User Interface
- It can be found in a category called "# Scripts" under the group "Main UI."

Sanitize Object Names

Removes special characters from object names which can cause issues with network rendering. These often appear when bringing in a model from Revit.

- Inch and feet characters (" and ') are replaced with in and ft.
- Both 's and s' are replaced with s.
- Most other common special characters are currently replaced with underscores.

Bake vertex position from modifier stack

30 votes

I was wondering on how I could achieve a footstep-like effect on a mesh without some fancy softbody/physics/plugin-action, and I came up with this script. It basically bakes the vertex position from the modifierstack on each frame to a keyframed editable_poly object. It keyframes only the modified part of the mesh, and does not change it back, hence the "track-effect". See the example image:

With RemapPSDyou can easily map your entire photoshop file to a different set of uvs. The script will handle any complexity in your photoshop files:

  • layers with masks
  • folders with masks
  • nested folders
  • adjustment layers with masks
  • layered tiffs

Cache Bar

A small tool for Point Cache automation. Easy way to cache out all selection objects at once. Also ability to load cache files automatically on selected objects by name or load one cache file onto many objects. A few other things as well. Watch the video tutorial.
