Max script - NotePad++

I would use Notpad ++ for
modify some scripts that when using max I can not change. because running.

How can I configure Notepad ++ as MaxScript language.

why is you can not change

why is you can not change script because max is running ? is there any reason behind it , its not maxscript need to compiler like c lang to activate isn't it ?
