worlkfow for networked sourced tools

Hi All,
I was wondering has anyone worked with have tools stored in a central location online or on a server and users can connect to those tools through the network or online.
I was just curious what people have done in this area.

office scripts from network drive

sure, try Favorite Scripts:
http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/favorite-scripts

I just had the same idea and did it month or two ago,
You can select network location + every user can select own folder

It also automatically search for scripts every time so no need to restart max :)

Thank you pixamoon, this is great I will look into the script you have written.
Do you or anyone else know of any other workflows for sharing tools.
I am just trying to get a survey of other options, currently tools are getting copied locally via script but I don't like this. keeping artist workstations script versions in sync is a mess..
