09/03/2007This script imports .obj files directly into SketchUp. It works well on some files, fails on others. The Pro version can already do this.

Menu items:
1 Plugins/[JF] obj Import/Import OBJ
2 Plugins/[JF] obj Import/Import as Mesh
Importing as mesh softens/smooths all edges, and is faster.
Some imports can take a long time (several minutes.) There is no progress indicator and SketchUp is unresponsive during the import. Beeps when done.
Does not do textures or groups at this time.
