3DS Max - Plugin - ZoomExtSelFix

0 votes

This plugin is intended to replace the built-in Zoom Extents Selected. The reason is that the built-in feature doesn't work the way it should in many cases as you'll see in the video and instead of zooming in on the selected object, it zooms out to show the whole scene.

3DS Max - Plugin - ZoomExtSelFix

In this update, the script will work on sub-object selections. Also, a bug in the first version is fixed, when you switch to another mode other than the Modify Panel, the first version gives an error, this is fixed now in this 1.5 version.
To recap on why this plugin:
The default Zoom Extents Selected tool in Max has an issue when you're in a sub-object level but no sub-object element is selected, pressing Z(the default shortcut) causes Max to Zoom Extents on the whole scene instead of the selected object.

3DS Max - Plugin - [UPDATE] - CopyPaste V1.5

1 vote

This is an update for the CopyPaste plugin. This plugin allows you to copy and paste geometry between opened 3DS Max files, of course, in the same file too. This version includes a few additional features. The most important one is the ability to copy and paste using a base point. Also, there is a button that allows you to clear the cache file to save space on the hard drive. And, lastly, a Status section that gives you feedback whenever you perform an action. Please check the demo video for an in-depth explanation.

3DS Max - Plugin Update - CopyPasteDWG V1.5

*Description:
This plugin allows the user to copy paste geometries from AutoCAD into 3DS Max.
The plugin works with multiple opened AutoCAD files. It recognizes the last copied objects.
The script offers many filtering options for the imported objects like:
1-Removing the prefix "Layer:" and this will make it easier to select objects by name.
2-Removing any material applied to the imported objects.
3-Removing the Block/Style Parent hierarchies. (You might encounter name LinkComposite, it's the same thing.)
4-Selecting the imported objects when importing is done.

3DS Max - Plugin [Update] Isolate By Material v2.5

This is a second update for the Isolate By Material plugin. This update brings a huge increase in speed, especially in those scenes where you have a huge amount of groups and nested groups. What this plugin does is, you select a single object, then use the script to isolate all objects with the same material, and if the selected object has no material applied, it will warn you of that, if you click Yes you will isolate all objects with no materials applied to them, which is useful if you forgot to apply materials to some objects, the script will help you to discover that.

3DS Max - Remove Objects From Isolate Mode

This little script will help the user in removing objects from the isolate mode.
After selecting one or more objects and choosing isolate, sometimes you want to remove one or more objects from the isolated objects group. So select one or more objects that you want to remove and click the script.
Another benefit is that when the script is grayed out and not available, the user will know
That 3DS Max is not in the Isolate Mode

3DS Max - Script - Import Obj And Keep Duplicate Names

This script will allow you to import OBJ files and keep the incoming names even if the current scene contains objects with the same names

3DS Max - Unhide By Pick - Plugin

5 votes

This new script I created will allow the user to unhide objects using the mouse button, by temporarily hiding the current scene and unhiding all hidden objects so you can pick the objects you like to unhide. After picking the objects you can right-click and your original scene is back again plus the objects you've picked.

3DS Max File Version

2 votes

This VB-compiled tool serves just to test which version of Max was used to create the saved Max file. Since 3DSMax doesn't do a good job at writing its version in the file's properties - I use this tool to find out what version it was created in so I can go back to the proper 3DSMax to edit the file.

If you have multiple versions of Max installed and want to know what version you used on an old project - use this tool to find out.

3DS Max Plugin - Multiple Sections

1 vote

In this video, I will present you with a new plugin I created for 3DS Max that allows the user to create multiple 2D sections on the 3 axes. The script has many options to control this operation, like the number of sections, the spacing between sections, offsetting the start of the operation, flipping the axis so that, for example, if you choose the Z axis, flipping means the creation of the sections will begin from top to bottom, also you have the option to Weld the vertices.
