Get Materials (one click!)

A very simple but EXTREMLY USEFUL script you will use all the time!

With just one click it opens the Slate Material Editor and displays all the materials for the selected objects well organized in a clean view.

Forget about the annoying material picker tool. Add this simple button to your toolbar and every time you want to see the material/s for your current selected object/s just click the button and... Voila!

It will save you a lot of time!

GetMat

Quickly gets the material from the currently selected object and places it into the selected material slot.

Gets the material from the currently selected object and places it in the material editor. If multiple objects are selected - chooses the material from the first selected object.

Gradient

A left over from the planet thing but of lots of use. It's a photoshop style gradient generator. Use the supplied structure to setup colours and positions from 0.0 to 1.0. You MUST give it at least two colours - one at 0.0 and one at 1.0 - other than that put as many where ever you like.

Assigns a Material Modifier to the bottom level of the Modifier Stack with an option to collapse to the modifier once

applied.

Usefule for quickly changing the MatID for an entire mesh while preserving the modifier stack.

HDRI Material Override Toolbar

Simple floating 'toolbar' example where you can quickly toggle reflection override for the current viewport (any custom picked hdri map will work) and set its rotation. Since it's just a viewport override, all the materials applied to the objects will be left untouched. Comes in handy for example when checking for shading errors.

Height Colorizer

Originally created for a request on the ScriptSpot forums: http://www.scriptspot.com/forums/3ds-max/scripts-wanted/material-id-percentage-by-height-like-beiging-watercube-auditorium. The script will take every object selected and assign a wirecolor depending on the item's height relative to the total selection height.

 

Running the script will create a rollout with a few options:
