The script lets you pick multiple image files from your drive and creates one material per file, with the image assigned as diffuse texture, and builds a multimaterial with all of them. Then assigns the multimaterial to the selected objects.

(Yea, frank put 30some multiscatter objects in the scene and it was unusable enough that it was faster to write a script, upload it here, and run it, than it was to disable them one by one.)

Just incase anyone else runs into a similar problem.

A Script for Replacing Chinese and illegal Characters from (Objects-Materials-Maps-Modifiers-layers) Names .

PS: Undo Disabled , So its Better to Save your Work Before Running the Script .

For Replacing Texture Names you can use Pop Chinese Script

UPDATE 1.1 :

  • Change the script name to "Names Fixer"  .
  • Add Fix for Names Sequences , ("Group464134564" will be fixed to normal sequence "Group023")
