"Given pointHelpers or other objects of a specific name - this will take their positions and auto generate a character rig for animation based off of them. This includes Stretchy Legs - Stretchy Arms and a general finger setup - with Custom Attributes on proper controls. Version 1.31 now allows up to 8 neck bones/controls.

Add Physique

Adds a Physique modifier to the selected object. Allows Physique to be linked to the right click menu

Select Opposite

Unfortunately Character Studio does not give the user the ability to create shortcuts to some of the most useful tools it has to offer. This script detects which Biped bones are selected and then mirrors the selection i.e. left arm to right arm. This script supports multiple selections of bones and unlike Character Studio - it can be run on combinations of bipedal and regular bones.

Life saver! Will save out the weights of a skin modified object. If you change the mesh of a skinned object any manually setup vert weights get lost. Put them back with this. Can put back weights by index or by position. (Caution: putting weights back by position can take a long time if your object has a lot of faces)

Morph Controls

Helps set up controls for facial morphs - with different controls for symetrical targets as well as a jaw control - very simple but i find it useful becase it separates the keys from different morphtargets so the timeline doesn't get stuffed with keys when doing lip sync etc...

IK End Effector On/Off Toggle

Ok - if you use Ik/Fk switch a lot - with many Ik Solvers - you might find it a little annoying to go in the motion panel all the time for this.
So - here's the shortcut - as a macroScript for you to put it where you want - say in a QuadMenu.

Select Biped

Select any limb of a Biped character. Works best when assigned to keyboard short cuts.

During the development of Soul Forge Lodestone Games was asked to consider reusing some character art assets that a different studio had developed for another game Sony was going to publish. While the external assets were made in 3ds max and Character Studio - the build specifications were completely different that what was being used for Soul Forge.
