NEW in 2.0:
You don't need waiting for file list updating. All processes run in the background.
Script window can be docked to MAX interface for comfortable access to library.

What is available for you with DropBox:
- folder list management
- copying objects to the library from 3dsmax scene
- copying objects by groups to separate files
- paste whole scene from library

Export FBX to Unreal

2 votes

Designed specifically for Unreal (3 & 4) workflow, this script provides a quick way to export scene data with minimal interaction with scene objects.

The script will quickly export static meshes and their existing collisions, skeletal meshes or skeletal animations using the FBX format.

For a full list of features see the attached PDF guide. The guide is also installed with the script and accessible via the interface.

Stretchy Bones Converter

1 vote

Script for automating the process of getting 3dsMax's native stretchy bones into any game engine: creating a separate de-hierarchized bone structure that follows the motion of the base bone structure and automatically migrating skin weights on a mesh to those new bones.

USAGE:
Select the bones that you want to be affected with "Pick bones" button.
Select the affected mesh with a skin modifier with "Pick skinned object" button.
Press "Convert and reskin" button.

IMPORTANT:

Time Range Manager

27 votes

Allows you to edit and save a collection of named time ranges and access them via a dropdown list to change the scene time range based on their time settings.

Ranges are stored as a collection called sets. Multiple sets are then stored as a collection called projects.

The data is stored in INI files and so makes it independent of any maxfile.

There's also a compact option by clicking the thin bar above the ranges list.

Additional features include:

Biped (.bip) Animation Batch Retargeting & FBX export

4 votes

This script was made to retarget animations so that changes could be made to the biped's proportions throughout production.

I made this for making my life easier between Max and Unity (though it could be used in any max-based pipeline). Unfortunately Unity has no native retargeting, unless your team is using Mecanim.
