MCG Path Constraint a.k.a IncrCloneOnCurve

12 votes

This MCG constraints your object motion to a path. The motion can be repeated forever beyond the curve.

It can also be used to incrementally clone object along a curve and there is no need to adjust the distance

between the clones and count when length of curve changes.

Ver 1.01.00: You can now use a curve to control scaling of the clones.

Installation:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/CloudH...

Then can be found in Create>Geometry>Vu

MCG FFS

Installation: Scripting, Install Max Creation Graph...

Max2017 should work straightaway, for max2016 ensure you have SP3 properly applied then Extension2 (maybe 1 would work too...can't be sure)

FFS...Floor Flux Sake !!! I empower you to take the Red pill or Blue pill....go into the graph and choose your destiny on the far right...Fastest compile time could be a second (Blue pills) or slowest (Red pills), with all functionalities, up to 15 secs !!! But once you've compiled the graph, it should be pretty quick.

MCG Effector Meshes + DCP Sweat Map

Yeah 2 in 1. By giving this MCG for free, it may compromise my other products that are for sale...so have a little respect and don't make me lose faith in humanity. The DCP Preset you should use is Vu_SweatMap (video used Vu_MCGSelPAssthru, it's the same...)

Extract Preset to:

C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2017 - 64bit\ENU\en-US\plugcfg\DataChannelPresets

Then in your DCM, load it as a Preset.

Set Dimensions Modifier

Set real world/local dimensions of the object by axes with scale deformation taking in account.

Fit one object to the other by size.

Build-in Reset Xform/Reset Scale functions.

Populate Drop to Surface

By default Populate doesn't allow you to have your characters walking on uneven surfaces. This MCG hacks a way to put them on any surface below. It's not perfect but it'll work for a lot of cases.

Loops from Surface

Simple example of growing loops from open-ended surface. As such, it only looks for the first border and expands from there. Here it is shown on Cylinder with caps removed (default advanced sweep output would also work):

MCG Dr. Evil Laser

Mwahahha....Laaaaaaaaaaaser ....I want my 1 million dollars NOW !!!

Important: When adding/removing colliders, DEACTIVATE first, do your business, Reset Sim, then REACTIVATE

(or just use the download link below...)

Alright people, upon reflection, think I need freakin' refraction !!! Mwahahaaaaaa...you can give the man a fish...or you can teach him how to aim his evil laser properly at them little fishies...mwahahaaaaa...

MCG Marching Ants

4 votes

This MCG allows you to do marching ants, traffic light/direction effects. Note the Count is total in array but you see only every 'Step'. I think there is a bug with closed loop and Even count, so use odd Count for that....and WTF is up with the 90deg angle/rectangle ? Dunno....I'll debug if have time...

Ver 1.01.00: Added Flip and Rotation Adjustments

Ver 1.01.01: Minor update/cleanup

MCG Muscle Node

This is a dynamic object that connects the open edges of two objects. You can choose which open edges to connect.
