sel/all cameras preview generation

this script create previews (avi's) for selected and or all scene cameras and puts them in current project previews folder.

i created this, when i was reviewing few ppl work and each one has almost 10 cameras in max file. file was heavy enough to not show real time playback.

This is a simple camera toggle that i just made. There are a lot out there i Know, but i had to make my own. works on all Maxs i guess.

MCG BinaryRecursion

There are 2 compounds here for study purposes. The Vu_BinaryRecursionSearchIndex is for anyone who wishes to dissect and see how the MCG BinaryRecursion operator is wired up.

I've also included my poorman's version of BinarySearchIndex...using a While loop, I actually think this poorman version is less convoluted than the BinaryRecursion one.

MaterialSelector

Hello everyone!
Sometimes in my work I need find some material. When I shade scene to Vray, I need delete or change standard materials or mental materials. But it very difficult to find it. Especially if some materials in sub-materials.
For this situation I wrote this script

You can:

  • find base materials or sub-material
  • view list of objects by selected class of material, select objects in list

Zero Bone Remover

Removes bones with zero weight at all vertexes with preset treshold. Non-Zero bones added to sete selection (optional)

Gradient

A left over from the planet thing but of lots of use. It's a photoshop style gradient generator. Use the supplied structure to setup colours and positions from 0.0 to 1.0. You MUST give it at least two colours - one at 0.0 and one at 1.0 - other than that put as many where ever you like.

Object Cycler

This script lets you cycle through the scene objects. It hides all objects except one which is selected automatically

Chimney Maker

I wrote this script to make an old smoke chimney. I wanted to use it with the MassFX plugin in max so it had to be made of separate parts and not just a tube. anyway its got a bug , sometimes the bricks dont line up but a small change on the controls seems to fix it most of the time.
