3DS Max - Tip - Propagate Materials To Instances

In this tutorial, we will see how to apply the same material to a collection of instances without the need to select them all in the scene.

This is a super simple script to help anyone who faces this ridiculous issue in max on a daily bases.

Scenario:
Your working on a scene and autoback kicks in. Cool now you have an autoback file in case of emergency.

You now open a new scene and then autoback kicks in again. Now its replaced your previous autoback. D'oh!

Obviously this wouldn't be the case if you had setup your project folder........but yeah.

select a camera ( or an object if you want) and run the script.
It will add a attribute holder.
Now you can change interactively the render output size directly, each camera can have its own, the "apply" button allow to apply camera settings to render output (when switching to another camera).

to do : buttons to have 1, 1/2, 1/4, render size to make test render

Simplify Forest Pack object creation.

Select nodes to be scattered, click quick FP, select surface/area nodes, rightclick to create Forest object.

Can be use to edit selected forest object common properties, too.
